The Town of Niverville Has a New Fire By-law!

web@dminUncategorized

The Town of Niverville now has a new fire by-law!

This bylaw, named “The Fire Prevention and Emergency Services By-law No. 864-24”, takes the place of the previous three fire by-laws that the Town has had, by consolidating them into one, making it that much easier to find information on these topics!

In this by-law, you can find info on:

  • Fireworks Permits
  • Burning Bans
  • Fire Pits & Barbeques
  • Smoke Alarms & Fire Protection Systems
  • And much more!

Furthermore, a couple of changes and additions have been made to the existing regulations, to bring Niverville more in line with other urban municipalities. This includes such things as:

  • No fees for permits, to ensure that all fires are done safely and responsibly.
  • Fire pits are now allowed on driveways, provided they are elevated and at least 10 feet from a combustible structure.
  • Chinese lanterns are no longer allowed due to safety concerns.
