The Town of Niverville would like to alert residents of Denby Cove and 11 to 15 Hawthorne Way that, after our inspection of the excess water at the intersection of Denby Cove and Hawthorne Way, a slight leak has been discovered along the water main.
To ensure an efficient and quick fix to this issue, municipal water will need to be shut off for all of Denby Cove, as well as for 11 to 15 Hawthorne Way, starting Monday, July 7th, 2025, at around 1:00 PM. The estimated time for this repair is 4 to 5 hours, with water remaining off as repairs take place. Once these repairs have been completed, water will be restored. If, for any reason, the repair takes longer, Town staff will reach out to notify affected residents of the delay.
As the shut-off of municipal water means a loss of pressure in the affected water mains, a precautionary boil water advisory will also be issued for Denby Cove and 11 to 15 Hawthorne Way. Please see the boil water advisory below for further information on this boil water advisory. Due to the requirements put in place by the Province for water testing after a loss of pressure, this advisory will be in effect for 48 hours.
