Some updates have recently been made to the Town of Niverville’s Traffic and Parking Bylaw! To ensure that everyone is on the same page, we decided to create a list of the most pertinent updates and made some handy-dandy maps to go along with it. Check it all out below:

  • Lilac Place: No parking area added to the north side of the street.
  • Cambridge Way: No parking area has been added on the north side of the street between 3 Cambridge Way and the west intersection.
  • 4th Avenue South: No parking on the east side has been extended from Main Street to 3rd Street South.
  • 1st Street North: No Parking area on the north side of the street, between 3rd Avenue North and 4th Avenue North, is now in effect from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 7 days a week.
    • Previously, it was only applicable between 8:15 AM to 9:15 PM, Monday to Friday.

Parking Limit Changes:

  • A 10-minute parking limit, in effect from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, has been added along the entire frontage of Units 1 & 2 of 21 Main Street, which is the location of the Growing Minds Daycare.
    • In plain language, only 10-minute parking is now allowed during pick-up and drop-off hours at the daycare.
  • The 2-hour parking limit between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM along the east side of 2 Avenue South between 2nd Street South and Elmdale Place, and on the north side of Second Street South between 3rd Avenue South and Elmdale Place, is now applicable 7 days a week.
  • A 1-hour parking limit has been added to the north side of Drovers Run from Mulberry Avenue to Krahn Road.
  • The 15-minute parking limit along the east side of 4th Avenue South between 1st Street South and Main Street has been removed.

Designated Snow Route Area Changes

  • Finally, Arena Road, Centre Street, and Mulberry Avenue have all been added to the Designated Snow Route.
    • This means that between November 1st and May 1st annually, all vehicles (including trailers) are not permitted to park on these roads from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 7 days a week. Any vehicle (including trailers) found on these streets during the times mentioned above may be unfortunately ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
