Residents may notice a large construction project in the northwest corner of Hespeler Park. This project is being conducted by the developer of the Highlands. The work will allow for the south end of the highlands development to connect their sewer lines into the 4th Avenue South lift station located in Hespeler Park. The line must be placed 25 feet below ground and as a result, a very large quantity of dirt needs to be excavated and piled up; once the pipe is installed most of the dirt will be placed back into the ground. Because of the area being disturbed, it will take 12-24 months for the area to fully settle back to proper elevations. The developer is responsible to bring the area back to as good or better condition than it was before he started. We ask for patients over the next 4-6 weeks while they complete the pipe install. We ask residents also to stay away from this area until the work is completed. As Niverville continues to grow these types of projects are very necessary.
