The Town of Niverville would like to alert all residents that our contractor will begin paving the intersection of Hampton, Stratford, and Breckenridge, as well as paving Cobblestone Court, starting today, June 17, 2025. This will result in a closure of the project areas to facilitate a quick and efficient paving.
After the asphalt work is completed, the street will continue to be closed for a couple of days to allow the asphalt to cool. Once the project areas have been reopened, the Town would kindly ask users for the first few weeks to make gentle stops, take wide turns, and always be moving when turning the steering wheel. Please refrain from parking on the fresh asphalt for the first couple of weeks.
At the bottom of this notice are maps showing the project locations.
As well, the Town would like to remind residents that it is against Town Bylaw to drain a sump pump onto public property, including roadways. We would kindly ask all residents who have a sump pump draining onto public property to please remove your sump pump; otherwise, bylaw enforcement will unfortunately become involved.
Please respect traffic control signs and delineators, as they are in place to keep residents safe and to complete the projects as efficiently as possible. If there are affected residents in your home or neighbourhood with mobility concerns regarding these projects, please let the Town of Niverville know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. Flexibility and understanding will be required while these projects proceed.
Garbage collection will not change for property owners. You are still required to bring bins to your usual collection point. The contractor is responsible for both bringing your bin to a designated pick spot for Bristal Hauling and returning it to your driveway.
The Town of Niverville is thankful for your patience and understanding as we work to provide you with safer roads for you and your families. Please visit our website regularly for updates on our 2025 summer road repairs.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact the Town of Niverville at feedback@whereyoubelong.ca or by phone at 204-388-4600.
