Town Clean-Up Day – September 23, 2023

Town Clean-Up Day will be taking place this year on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Find the details here:

WASTE & RECYCLING:

Residents may bring their waste and recycling to Bristal Hauling at 405 Kuzenko Street between 8 am and 8 pm on Sept. 23rd. Be prepared to sort your load upon arrival. Below is a list of acceptable materials for drop-off:

  • Garbage and recyclables
  • Wood
  • Soil/Fill
  • Metal
  • Concrete
  • Paint
  • E-Waste
  • Batteries
  • Tires
  • Oil & Oil filters
  • Propane tanks
  • Light bulbs
  • Fridges ($20 per unit)

COMPOSTING:

The Compost Site (736 Schultz Avenue in the Niverville Business Park) will be open from 8 am to 8 pm for standard yard waste drop-off, which includes grass clippings and leaves. On Sept. 23rd, residents may also drop off tree branches at the Compost Site between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm for chipping. Please note, wood pieces thicker than 8 inches, wood not from trees, and pieces with mud or rocks attached to them will not be accepted.

Regular Yard waste (clippings and leaves): 8 am – 8 pm
Tree branches: 8 am – 5 pm

FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING SERVICE:

In conjunction with Town Clean-Up Day, the Niverville Credit Union will be sponsoring Community Shred Day, where residents will be given the opportunity to shred their documents for free. This will be taking place on Sept. 23rd between 9 am and 1 pm in the Niverville Credit Union parking lot, 62 Main Street.
