On February 21, 2023 Council gave first reading to the 2023 Financial Plan for Niverville. Based upon the work completed through last fall’s planning session a number of new initiatives will be completed and begin while in the larger picture trying to minimize the financial impacts to the rate payers of the Town. This year’s financial plan is proposing a four percent tax increase – so to the average Niverville home (which is assessed at $ 319,600) this will mean an additional $ 78.33 on their taxes this year. The Town has strived to minimize the increase to be below the rate of inflation for 2023. On March 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., residents are invited to join Council at the Community Resource & Recreation Centre (501 Centre Street, Niverville) for a Public Hearing, where Council will hear any person who would like to make a presentation, ask questions or register an objection to the 2023 Financial Plan as presented.
