Splash Pad Update
June 2, 2020
As promised last week, the Town would like to update on the status of the Splash Pad in Niverville.
At this time due to the restrictions in place under Phase 2 of Restoring Safe Services by the Province of Manitoba the Town has been provided strict guidelines. These guidelines include limiting our capacity on the splash pad based on size which results in no more than six children being allowed on the pad at one time, that the owner (the Town) would be required to staff and ensure occupancy is not exceeded and distancing is enforced. Should the rules not be followed the Town’s insurance would become null and void. Following these directives Council has met and decided to not open the splash pad at this time and will closely follow future phases of Restoring Safe Services by the Province. The Town is hopeful that restrictions will continued to be relaxed in the coming weeks to allow us to enjoy this recreational asset at some point this summer. Thank you for your continued patience as we continue to open following the direction of the Provincial government.
