Learn to Knit Series:  – Part 2&3

Program Description:
This next class in the Learn to Knit Series is a continuation for those who enjoyed the first class and wish to continue. As well, this class will be open to other knitters in the community that would like to build on their basic skills.

Over the course of the 5 weeks, you will learn to knit in the round, work with multiple colours, read patterns, follow charts, learn numerous stitch combinations, and work cables. This will open up a world of things you can knit confidently, for instance: socks, mitts, toques, cowls, leg warmers, and headbands. There will be projects with lots of step-by-step instructions.


Hunter Education Course

Program Description:
All hunters in Manitoba are required to possess a Hunter Education certification or an equivalent when hunting. Hunter education promotes safe and ethical hunting practices and introduces new hunters to wildlife management, hunter responsibilities & how to prepare for the hunt.

Participants must bring a lunch and pen.

Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) (PAL course)

Program Description:
The goal of the Canadian Firearms Program is the safe and responsible use of firearms. Firearm owners have social responsibilities. By completing this course, you will be instructed on what these responsibilities are. You will learn how to do the following:

  • Handle firearms and ammunition safely.
    • Use firearms and ammunition safely.
    • Comply with firearms laws.
    • Store non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely.
    • Display non-restricted firearms safely.
    • Transport non-restricted firearms safely.

Highly recommended to review the coursebook online before class

Need to bring a lunch, water bottle, pen and government-issued photo id

Need 8 registrations minimum to run the course

Learn to Knit Series – Absolute Basics

This class is for beginngers with absolutely no knitting experienece. The only requirement is an discovering if you enjoy knitting. The class will consist of two 3-hour sessions.

Emergency First Aid & CPR –Level C

Online Emergency First Aid with CPR C component for Blended Learning. An email with login details will be sent within 24 hours of registering online. Blended Learning consists of a portion of the course done online at your own leisure, and an in-class portion. The time spent in class is reduced to 4.5 hours (compared to 8 hours when done entirely in class). CPR C covers Adult , Child & Infant CPR techniques.
Same certification earned as the full in-class option. 3-year certification
