Recreation and Wellness Director
The Town of Niverville is seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual with a passion for recreation and wellness to apply for the newly created fulltime position of RECREATION AND WELLNESS DIRECTOR.
The Town of Niverville is located just 20 minutes south of Winnipeg, and one of Manitoba's fastest growing and youngest communities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a "can do" positive attitude.
The Director will be responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive recreation and wellness program by working with the public, existing community groups, and the Niverville Recreation Commission, as well as identifying and implementing new opportunities with the community.
Qualifications could include:
- Formal education and/or experience in the Recreation and Wellness field
- Must be able to communicate well with individuals at all life stages
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Experience in programming, planning and working with volunteers
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience

Works and Operations-Facilities Foreman

Under the direct supervision of the Works & Operations Manager, depending on the season, either the successful applicant will be primary responsible for promoting and managing the arena or alternatively outdoor recreational facilities of the town. This position will involve scheduling, custodial and mechanical duties and managing part-time employees together with duties related to assisting in the operation of the Town's water utility.
The successful applicant will be expected to obtain training in Ice Making/Maintenance and Manitoba Water and Waste Water courses.
