Town Council

Locally government in Niverville consists of a 5 member council with the head of council being the mayor. Elections are held in accordance with the Province of Manitoba Municipal act, every 4 years or as required by by-election to fill vacancies. The current term began in October 2006 and will end with elections in September 2010.

Town council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month for regular council meetings. These are open to the public and begin at 7:30pm in the council chambers. Addition special meetings of council are held as required along with various committee and consultation meetings as may be required. Members of the public wishing to make presentation at council should contact the administration office a least 3 working days prior to council to ensure a spot on the agenda.
